What is RSS?
It is a file format based on XML called Really Simple Syndication (RSS) which consists of a
standard content syndication with which frequently updated Web sites can automatically send their
updates. Thanks to RSS, information is available to be shared by other Web sites and it can be used
by other Webs or programs.
The information is periodically updated and the user receives it automatically, without
needing to search.
Its functioning is very easy. It uses a reading program or adder which is in charge of reading
these RSS sources containing the information updates. Thanks to these adders, all the updated
information from every web site the user is subscribed to is received in a single place. This way,
the user avoids having to access many Web pages to get this information.
